Welcome to Year 4!
We hope you have had a wonderful, relaxing summer break and are now ready to immerse yourselves in lots of new learning with Mr Painter, Mrs Courtney, Mrs Dutton and Mrs Quinlan
Mr Painter teaches all day Monday afternoon, all day Tuesday and wednesday, Thursday morning and Friday all day. Mrs Courtney teaches Monday morning and thursday afternoon.
We have P.E. sessions on Mondays and Fridays this term. It is essential that all pupils have appropriate kit, please could these be in all week in case there are other sporting opportunities.
Home Learning
The children have Home Learning folders which will come home every Friday, returning to school the following Thursday, ready for marking and spelling tests. The Spelling homework involves ahandwriting sheet with 10 set words and a Year 4 Spelling menu sheet with includes 12 choices of spelling activities. Each week the children must complete the handwriting sheet in their best handwriting, on the sheet. Each week there will be a maths activity that is mandatory and this will often be Professor Assessor as we are getting ready for the national times table check. There will also be an optional enrichment task and anything created for this will be celebrated in class.
Please help us to support your child's learning by hearing them read regularly, and helping them produce their best learning. Also, please help them remember to bring their Home Learning folder on a Thursday!
